Kanin Club. This sounds like a group of people with a passion for rice, in the same way that a dance club is all about dance and fight club is all about fighting, but this is really the name of the restaurant. And it’s not entirely all about rice (“kanin” in Filipino). True, rice at the Kanin Club is topnotch. Rice, however, is merely a sideshow to the various Filipino dishes served by the staff with evident pride. And for a reason.
