Photography and nature, Mark Alvin Marbella notes in his profile, are like food for the soul (check his Instagram account, @iammarbel, for more photos). For this particular shot, he said, “Some sunshine are just wonderful. Maybe it is hard to wake up, but sometimes the nature reward us with a wonderful show.” We couldn’t agree more. We happily spend time waiting for the sunrise or sunset, and, in the case of sunrise, we battle the urge to continue swimming in dreamland. Not that there’s much difference. Waiting for the sunrise in Sambawan Island, Biliran is probably like being immersed in dreamland. Located around 5 kilometers from the town of Maripipi in Biliran, Sambawan Island features a curved white-sand beach, and a hill that serves as the island’s spine, featuring rock formations that, together with the vegetation, give an eery feeling of being in fantasy land.
