Super typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) — the strongest recorded typhoon to hit land and one of the strongest typhoons in history — struck and devastated the Philippines on November 8, 2013. The Filipinos’ unbreakable spirit was bolstered by the outpouring of support from the world. There have been countless of “thank you” messages expressed, but this time, the Department of Tourism (DoT) is organizing a concerted movement. “This February 8, 2014, exactly three months after the typhoon, we want to be one in expressing our gratitude.” Share the photo through social media, check out the DoT twitter account, and register here. Update: Here’s the “thank you” video.
