It’s blue but not sad, the Enchated River. Found in the town of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur, in the southern part of the Philippines, the Enchanted River is a deep spring river with complex underground/underwater cave systems. We’ve heard the mapping of the cave system is yet to be completed and one diver has already gave his life for this effort. We’ve also heard that swimming is currently not allowed on the Enchanted River‘s mouth. According to Jan Gomez Villanueva (photo from her; check her Instagram account, @jan_gv, for more photos) — “Bad news: Di kami nakalangoy. Bawal muna! Good news: Restoration/renovation ang dahilan. Tapos hindi crowded. Solo mo ang lugar! Maaaas enchanting!!!” Looks truly enchanting. Click the photo to enlarge.
