The Philippines Ranks Higher among Tourist-Friendly Countries (2015)

There’s something to be more proud about the Philippines — the Philippines continues its consistent rise in the tourism world, ranked as No. 8 in the Lonely Planet’s Top 10 Countries for 2015. “Could this be the Philippines’ breakthrough year?”, Lonely Planet asks. It added: “With more than 7100 islands (compare that to Thailand, with a paltry 1430), the Philippines has one of the world’s most beautiful coastlines, fringed by dive-static coral reefs, sprinkled with sunbathe-ready white sand, backed by swaying palm trees and dotted with simple resorts of nipa-palm thatched huts, like Thailand used to be when the Beach Boys were still top of the charts.” First in the list is Singapore, followed by Namibia, Lithuania, Nicaragua, Ireland, Republic of Congo and Serbia.
