Fresh Strawberries and Yoghurt in Sagada: Photo of the Day

This photo by Jovic FerrerImages (check his Instagram account, @ferrerimages, for more photos) comes with a simple caption: “Yoghurt with fresh strawberries and honey. At Strawberry Cafe, Sagada, Mountain Province, Philippines.” It’s deceptively simple, though. While anyone can get strawberries at their favorite supermarket, these ones are picked fresh from the nearby gardens. And while anyone can have yoghurt-strawberries combo as a treat, it’s just a mere icing on the cake, so to speak, in Sagada. You see, you don’t go to Sagada for the strawberries. It’s just a bonus. You go there for the cool mountain air, the sprawling mountain views littered with pine trees, and, of course, the lovely spelunking adventures. Even Batman would love Sagada. You go to Sagada to fall in love with nature or fall (more) in love with the person with you. Click the photo to enlarge. Continue reading Fresh Strawberries and Yoghurt in Sagada: Photo of the Day

But what happens if strawberries are given a new twist, as deliciously shown by the gorgeous photo of Ces Hernandez (ig_undersij)? We have to take a second look. And a second bite of the chocolate-coated strawberry by Cafe by the Ruins. Here’s the photo (click to enlarge): Continue reading Photo of the Day: Chocolate-coated Strawberry
