Photo of the Day: The Air Up in Boracay

It’s difficult not to fall in love with Boracay. The main draw is the beach, of course, coupled with an endless array of attractions, including cliff jumping, the mermaid academy, and the 24/7 party atmosphere. The options are endless. There are activities to satisfy the party animals, the outdoors buff, the spa addicts, beach bums, energetic kids; practically everyone, even those who wish to do soul searching. And there’s parasailing. We’d go out on a limb and say that you haven’t been to Boracay if you haven’t done parasailing. We tried to describe how it feels to float high above the white-sand paradise called Boracay, but it seems a photograph is better suited to relay the emotions, like this photo by Charmilyn Mamaradlo (miaischarm3718). Cliff Jumping Paradise: Ariel’s Point, Boracay (Video)

We love Boracay. Who doesn’t love Boracay? One or two souls maybe, but we absolutely love the world-famous island paradise called Boracay. From its hotels (let’s have less of those humongous hotels please), calamansi muffins, fruit shakes, pizza and other smokin‘ hot cuisine. It’s fine, white sand of course. And clear waters. We’ve seen the fire dancers and tried parasailing, and, mind you, we’re just beginning to scratch the surface of Boracay fun. We can also tell you at least 5 reasons why, despite all the downside that naturally comes with development, we still love Boracay. Heck, we’ve even survived its underwater-world and international mermaid school! What we haven’t tried, and what we seriously intend to do before our bones get too brittle with time (and milk-to-alcohol imbalance) is the cliff jumping in Ariel’s Point. Yes, Boracay, we’ll conquer your cliff jumping challenge. We’ll see if the 15-meter cliff jump is enough to challenge us (uhm, the 3-meter option is technically doing the jump, yes?). In the meantime, watch this video of the Ariel’s Point jump through the eyes of fellow travelers: Continue reading Cliff Jumping Paradise: Ariel’s Point, Boracay (Video)

Parasailing in Boracay Island

The Boracay breeze must have frozen my brain that morning . . . or maybe it was the Jona’s watermelon shake . . . or maybe it was my desire to check out the gorgeous bodies littered along the entire beachfront all at the same time. I was rather surprised how calm I was when I decided to tempt fate and go para-sailing. I did not even think twice; well, I stopped for a moment to consider the cost. . . seems unreasonable because you go up for under fifteen minutes only…but heck, it’s not everyday that I get this chance.
