Lucky Turtles at Apo Island, Negros Oriental: Photo of the Day

“I got to spend the end of the year with this guy,” said charlynfaith. We’re unsure who’s luckier, the turtle dude or charlynfaith (check her Instagram acount, @peytfull, for more photos). We could say she’s lucky, with this seemingly well-timed shot with a turtle at Apo Island (Dauin, Negros Oriental). Not everyone gets the chance (although we hope you’d be able) to visit this marine sanctuary and get a wonderful photo remembrance to boot. We could say, on the other hand, that this turtle is a lucky guy (well, assuming it’s a guy), with this beautiful lady-guest gracefully diving to have a selfie (or is it a turtlefie?) taken in his peaceful underwater habitat. Perhaps we can say that we’re all lucky, living in and exploring this beautiful country called the Philippines. So, go ahead, visit the Philippines and tell the world what’s beautiful about Pinas! Have fun! Click the photo to enlarge. Continue reading Lucky Turtles at Apo Island, Negros Oriental: Photo of the Day

She was in Apo Island, she said, and we had to do a little bit of sleuthing to learn that it’s the Apo Island Marine Reserve in Negros Oriental. Oh, you want proof of the sea turtle encounter? Here’s the photo (click photo to enlarge): Continue reading Photo of the Day: Turtle Dude
