There are more than 7,100 gorgeous islands in the Philippines. Some islands, and beaches, may be beautiful than others, but each is beautiful in its own right. Some islands, and beaches, may be swarmed by locals and tourists alike, but some are just waiting in their solitary happiness to be occupied by lovely, and loving, souls. Take, for instance, the Maniwaya Island in Marinduque, here occupied by wanderers Christian and Kristine (check their Instagram account, @thelensbetweenus, for more beautiful photos). Must-Visit Philippine Festivals in 2014

We came across a list of top 5 restaurants in the Philippines, compiled by the It’s More Fun in the Philippines website — KaLui (Puerto Princesa, Palawan), Abe, Chocolate de Batirol (Baguio City), La Preciosa (Laoag, Ilocos Norte), Cafe Juanita (Pasig). We’ve visited all these restaurants (and then some) and we can humbly say that other restaurants should be in that list (Lantaw of Cebu, for instance). So why don’t we have our own list? The Beautiful Life at Bellarocca (Marinduque)

The Bellarocca is a resort full of contrasts. “Bella” is Italian (or Greek?) for beautiful, “rocca” is rock. This small, green island off the edge of Marinduque (Philippines) is home to white-walled architecture inspired by Santorini (Greece).
