There are places to commune with nature; we posted our Top 10 of these places. We also posted about the still life. There’s something else that we noticed with the VisitPinas-tagged photos in Instagram. A lot of reflections are done on rivers and lakes. We’re not really surprised, because a calm lake or river lacks the hyperactive edge of the beach and presents an added difficulty of trekking, just like mountaineering. Balance is what you’ll find. Sampaloc Lake (San Pablo City, Laguna): Photo of the Day

It’s amazing when the Philippines looks like it’s not the Philippines. You go around the different islands of the Philippines, and there are more than 7,000 islands, and you discover that it looks like a foreign land. That’s certainly how we felt when we saw the karst landscape of Palawan. That’s the same feeling when we saw this lovely sunset photo of Sampaloc Lake in San Pablo City, province of Laguna, courtesy of Judy Talan (check her Instagram acccount, @judyeatworld, for more photos).
