Disappointment is a tough concept to predict, we’ve learned throughout our travels, primarily because it largely depends on the level of expectation that has grown root in one’s mind. What may be disappointing to some may be outstanding to others. What may be disappointing to someone may have been satisfactory to the same person if the expectation was correctly set. We’ve been badly burned by resorts and destinations that are made to glitter like diamonds in their websites, only to find a lump of semi-precious stone. V is for Red Velvet. Yes, we know Red Velvet starts with R, but there’s no recall in that, is there?. Think “V is for Victory,” which figured in a movie and we use on a daily basis by flashing the middle and index fingers. Do the V sign with the back hand and it’s hip-hop cool. Do the V sign the other way and that’s pa-cute for teenage girls. Cupcakes by Sonja (Serendra, Bonifacio High Street)

What’s so special about cupcakes? A store could sell a single food product like doughnut. But a cupcake is not a donut. Cupcakes are common and cheap, you could buy mass-produced items in a grocery. A cupcake store is simply not commercially viable — especially if you want to open the store at the  high end part of town.
