Dare to Dive Into Cabagnow Cave (Anda, Bohol): Photo of the Day

“Would you dare jump into the cave’s hole?”, asked Princess Alyssa Cabuhayan. She’s referring to the Cabagnow Cave (or Kabagno Cave) located in the town of Anda, Bohol. It’s practically a hole on the ground, the deepest among Anda’s cave pools. You can get off from your vehicle, walk to where the mouth of the cave is, then jump into the hole — with this lovely clear water waiting for you at the bottom. Would you dare jump into Cabagnow Cave’s hole? If you’re brave enough and accept the challenge, don’t forget to make a prior arrangement with the locals for a rope-ladder. That’s the only way you can get out of the hole. Photo courtesy of Princess Alyssa Cabuhayan (check her Instagram acount, @thelostnurse, for more photos). Click the photo to enlarge. Give in to the Dark Side at Sohoton Cave: Photo of the Day

We sometimes wonder what’s on the other side. Dark to light, light to dark, pretty much like the balance in the Force. We need not dwell on the realm of imagination, like the movies, and instead experience the transition in the real world, like how the light becomes a welcome sight after some time in a dark cave. Try the Sohoton Cave in Basey,cSamar, as shown in this photo courtesy of  Cals Dizon Dantes (check his account, @calsdizondantes, for more beautiful photos). Even the Rogue One will like it here. Click the photo to enlarge. Continue reading Give in to the Dark Side at Sohoton Cave: Photo of the Day

Photo of the Day: Sagada Spellunking

One of the earliest travel articles we’ve written is about Sagada, with the photos taken when blogging, as a platform, was still in its conception stage. A travel blog was never in our mind. Also, the cellphones of today are way more powerful than the digital cameras of yesterday, which means that the photos we took weren’t that crisp. So imagine how happy we were when we encountered a photo snapped by 7107islandsphilippines (@7107islandsphilippines) of the beautiful mineral formations deep down the a Sagada cave. It’s like reliving the moment when the light first hit those beautiful white formations. Amazing! You guys should go there. In the meantime, here’s the photo by 7107islandsphilippines (by the way, http://7107islandsphilippines.com is also a Philippine travel blog, so check it out.
