Photo of the Day: Bike vs Sunset

We love sunsets — we’ve featured a number of #potd’s featuring the gorgeous golden sunset of the Philippines and we’ve posted the reason why we love ’em sunsets. We’re sure, of course, that there will be more breathtaking sunset photos that we’ll encounter, like this one by Joel Gerone Larupay (@elixir_kun), who is a Zamboangueño, a Filipino, an aspiring biologist (his gallery of photos, on the other hand, makes you think that he’s an accomplished photographer). He believes on the, uhm, life-changing philosophy that “I eat, therefore, I exist.” This photo captures foliage swaying to the seaside breeze, the ponytail of the lady rider flowing through the high-speed bicycle ride. Yes, yes, it doesn’t look like a speedy ride, but we’d like to imagine it that way, with the freedom of the open space illuminated by the setting sun. It’s a lovely scene. Simply beautiful.
