We’ve featured the Feet of Summer after we noticed a pattern of feet as focus in photos of various Philippine destinations, posted in Instagram with our tag or bearing #visitpinas. We can’t also help but notice the couple shots in beautiful travel destinations. We’ll feature these couple photos here (tag us if you have such a photo, so we can add it in this post).
You and I Against the… Mountains?
We don’t have to write our own description for this one. We’ll just quote the original description of this photo, snapped at Impasugong, Bukidnon, by Sam Lague (check her Instagram account, @doktoralakwatsera_, for more photos): “Fall in love with someone who will love you even if the journey gets tough. Someone who stays even if it is not convenient anymore. Someone who will say, “Challenges lang to kaya natin ‘to” not someone who will just easily say , “Pagod na ako”.
Into the Blue
If I’m asked by my significant other, “Will you jump if I jump?”, I’d probably answer, “Mauna ka, tingnan natin kung malalim.” But that’s just me. Mags Dizon obviously has a different view, jumping together at Magpupungko Tidal and Rock Pool in Siargao. “We weren’t expecting to visit Siargao this year or anytime soon but God really is full of suprises. TYL for all the provisions! Best one for this year so far.” We couldn’t agree more. Indeed beautiful, Siargao. Check her Instagram account, @magsdizon, for more photos.
Basta Driver, Sweet Lover
When you visit the Philippines, you’ll notice that the dominant modes of public transportation — jeepneys, buses, tricycles — also serve as a canvass, filled with visual art and quotes. One of the most common quote? Basta driver, sweet lover.
While there’s no way to verify if drivers are indeed sweet lovers, and we’d appreciate if you’ll share a piece of your mind on this at the comment section below, Tom Sawyer (check his Instagram account, @whataboutpao, for more photos) appears to agree with it when he posted a photo for his fifth anniversary trip at Crosswinds, Tagaytay. In his words, “Sabi nga nila, basta driver sweet lover! Yeaaah men!!”
That Thing Called Tadhana
Sagada occupies a special place in our heart, an additional reason why we like that movie That Thing Called Tadhana. Imagine our joy when somebody tagged us with her “couple photo” in Sagada. This photo in Mt. Kiltepo, Sagada, courtesy of Jenie Gabriel (check her Instagram account, @jeniegabwanders, for more photos). The caption? “Because we’re moving together for the 4th time (!) in a few years, I just want to say a big “Merci Beaucoup” for making everything seem easier and lighter, my fiancé.” Yiheee!
It’s not Where You Go…
To sum it all up: “In life, it’s not where you go, it’s who you travel with.” We couldn’t agree more with Engr. EA Policarpio, in his photo at Mt. 387-Batong Amats, Puncan, Nueva Ecija (check his Instagram account, @edgrallan, for more photos).
It’s a Wrap
It’s funny — the good, loving kind of funny — how we’ve witnessed the love story of Dith Vitug. You see, we’ve featured a couple of her Philippine travel photos before, as well as her significant other, Tom Sawyer, and it’s easy to see the aura of love and happiness surrounding them. What better way to wrap up this post than featuring a photo, showing a happy conclusion to that love story? “See you at the altar soon,” says Dith in this photo (most likely a prenuptial shoot) in Mariveles, Bataan (check her Instagram account, @dithvitug, for more photos). Congratulations, you guys.
