Kiddie Fun at Active Fun (The Annex, SM City North EDSA)

There are a number of reasons why parents bring their children to fun places. Places like Active Fun. One is the genuine desire to allow their children to have fun. Another is to have an excuse to go shopping, with the kids safely tucked in Active Fun. Still another is for a bargaining tool — if you behave I’ll bring you to Active Fun this weekend.

Active Fun is found at The Annex, the newest “addition” to the SM City North EDSA.It’s easy to find, located immediately after you enter the The Annex from its own parking area. That means if you’ve entered from the main building, you have to walk the entire length of The Annex. Good exercise. The Active Fun is at the other end.

It claims to have the longest indoor slide in the Philippines, something which I pointed out to be false. The indoor slide at Fun Ranch is definitely longer, higher and more fun that in Active Fun. Then my wife pointed out that Active Fun and Fun Ranch are the same, which means that it’s still true that Active Fun has the longest indoor slide.

The concept is basically the same with other mall establishments where children could have fun, with the parents outside shopping. Lots of shapes of different sizes, to stimulate their creativity. Areas to jump and go boing boing all day (good for those who always jump on the bed). Tunnels and maze. Really bright colors. Highly interactive toys, meant to exhaust the extremely high level of energy of children. So we parents will have an easy time containing them once we get them.

There are some notable differences though. Active Fun is new, which means its equipment are in great shape. It’s cleaner (they strictly insist on everyone wearing socks, so bring your own socks if you don’t want to spend and buy socks on the spot). It has more interactive toys and areas. It also has an area, enough if you’re inviting just your immediate family and closest friends, for birthday parties and kiddie celebrations. Also, if I may say so, please make sure to teach your kid to share . . . and not hog the plastic gun at the second level of the play gym.

If you want the bigger one, go to Fun Ranch. Still, Active Fun at The Annex is reasonable enough for a P170 entrance fee. It’s definitely a better place for the kids to enjoy while you do your shopping. Enjoy!

Oh, I haven’t seen this one yet. I guess kids would really love to play here.

BTW Fred, I am Madz, the one who copied your post about the Amana Waterpark in one of my blogs. I am so sorry since I already deleted the blog, haven’t updated it for so long now. Haven’t been to Amana yet, but I wanted to. The link I left here is my personal blog which I updated almost regularly.

    Keep in touch!

Hi there! Thank you for putting up this blog. I was trying to recall for the good 7hrs the name of this particular play gym. Im considering to book my child’s bday party there. Do you, by any chance, know the store’s email address? Im currently abroad and I would like to inquire their party packages.

Thanks very much and keep blogging! =)

This Active FUN was full of SHIT….They dont care what happen to your child…If something happens to your child, they just say they dont care…Because they said they put sign , enter at your own risk…Their personnel is no doing their Job inside. One time my daughter was there and had an accident but they didn’t pay a single cent… If I were you…I will not go inside this STUPID playhouse anymore…
