We all know Coron, Palawan, is an awesome travel destination. The pristine beaches, fresh seafood, nice tan, great view, underwater scenes, just some of the reasons why tourists flock into this group of paradise-islands. Then there’s freediving at the Barracuda Lake. Let’s compile some of the photos of underwater adventurers in this post.
She tells stories through visuals, Maj Flores, a lady who obviously loves to travel and explore (and, good for us, snaps beautiful photos to showcase the beauty of the Philippines). We already have a post on the Barracuda Lake (see Underwater Wall), but how can we resist this photo? That underwater wall with somber colors solidifying to dark blue into the deep? That solitary freediver navigating the line between hard land and god knows whatever lurks yonder? Not everyone is cut out for this kind of adventure. Just you and nature in all its raw beauty. How does one deal with it? Just keep swimming, Maj quotes the lovable Dory (check her Instagram account, @majflores, for more photos). Click the photo to enlarge.
The gorgeous backdrop is already in place. The only thing needed is for the diver to use her/his imagination in creating the perfect pose using the awesome underwater wall (we’d like to say “just add water, and voila!”, but this is already underwater). Tiptoe, perhaps, like in this photo by Gen Santiago Zotomayor (check her Instagram account, @gensantiago, for more photos). Click the photo to enlarge.
Or how about free falling (or, shall we say, free floating), like in this photo by Anna Arancon-Milan (annaamilan) — a digital marketer, ocean lover and smile advocate — of a freediver (originally posted in the Underwater Wall). Click the photo to enlarge.
